Hair Extensions

There is many types of hair out there and can be confusing when you are trying to research what is best for you. Hair extensions can be made from various sources, like 100% human hair, 100% synthetic hair or a mixture, then there is Remy hair etc, but what is best for you?

The hair extensions used by me are 100% Remy human hair, which means they are top quality and won't matte or tangle like synthetic hair. If you are unsure of what Remy hair is, have a read of the FAQ's below.

Hair extensions are can be sourced from different origins. The most common are  Asian, Indian, European or Russian. The most popular hair is Indian, because of it's fantastic quality and a decent price range. I also have European and Russian hair available if you are after the highest quality hair extensions.

Everyone is different, so why can't your choice of hair extensions be tailored to what you're after and for your budget.
The good news is - they can!
I offer the following methods of extensions:

  • Micro bead
  • Micro tube
  • Micro loop
  • Skin Weft Tape
  • Clip Ins
  • Fusion

If you are unsure of what you are after, feel free to contact me and I'll help you out. We will be able to discuss the best option for you during your consultation.

  • What is Remy/Remi hair?

Remy Hair is considered to be the finest quality of human hair because the cuticles are kept intact and not stripped, like in most other non-Remy hair extensions. Preserving the hairs’ cuticles and aligning them in a unidirectional fashion creates extensions that are completely natural in appearance. This process ensures that the hair remains super soft, shiny, silky and completely tangle-free throughout its lifetime.

  • What method is best for me?

The best method will depend on your hair type, condition and your needs. You may have had a bad experience with tape extensions or your hair is really fine and may not support certain types of hair extensions. All these things will be discussed with you in the first consultation and monitored throughout following appointments.

  • Do hair extensions hurt?

You may have some discomfort or tension around your scalp, especially if it's your first time as your scalp is getting used to the weight of extra hair. It takes about 2 weeks to adjust to new hair extensions.

  • What's the best way to take care of my extensions?

I will discuss with you the steps to take care of your hair, you will also be given a Makeup By Sheena Hair Extension Care Sheet & a FREE loop brush to take home. There's also options to buy specialised hair extension care packs to keep your extensions in tip top shape.
